Annual Giving Program

The Believe 365 program provides an easy way to support NextStep Kansas City, and the paralysis community that we serve, all year long. Unfortunately, paralysis can't be prevented, and resources aimed specifically at recovery are limited. Furthermore, the resources that are available are not sufficiently covered by insurance. Contributions, made through the Believe 365 program, will ensure that our services remain as affordable as possible all year long, and that NextStep Kansas City continues to be the best paralysis recovery center in Kansas City.

2017 Night To Stand For Those Who Can't
Friday, March 31, 2017
Boulevard Brewery

Doors Open at 6:30pm | Dinner Begins at 7:00pm | Dress: Business Casual

Please, join NextStep Kansas City on the Boulevard, and Take a Stand For Those Who Can't! On March 31st, we crash the Boulevard Brewery, KC's most iconic brand, in an effort to raise awareness for Paralysis Recovery, and our area's only dedicated facility. There will be plenty of fun, great food, and great beer. We are excited to announce the addition of mobile bidding at this year's event, which will help ease your mind when it comes to trying to win those great auction items. Plus, it's a lot of fun! So kick back, set your bidding on cruise control and enjoy the opportunity to learn more about NextStep, and our clients. Don't Forget To Bring Your Cell Phones, you won't want to miss out on the great auction items!

Taste of KC Raffle

Our world famous Taste of KC restaurant raffle is back, and better than ever! This raffle has become quite the staple at this event. We have worked hard to secure enough great restaurant gift cards to keep the winners busy, and full, all year long. This year's total dollar amount exceeds $1,400, and will be split between two winners! There are many different options within each package which range from sandwich shops, to fine dining, and $10 per card, up to $100. This really is a great way to get out and taste more of Kansas City.

Silent & Live Auctions

This year's silent, and live auctions have a lot of great new items that will surely get you in the bidding spirit. To help along the way, we have added a new twist to our event. Online bidding will be available for the silent auction! Online bidding is the way of the future, and it helps to take a lot of the work, and worry, out of watching your desired items. Don't worry, if you aren't use to this type of bidding. There is a link to the left that explains how it works, and we will be more than happy to assist you during the event. Don't forget your phone for the event!

Use the Preview Auction links, to the left, for a sneak peek at the items, and to enter a few early bids!

Heads & Tails Game

The auctioneer will tell you to place your hand on your head, or on your back side. She will flip a coin and call Heads, or Tails. If your hand is on the correct call, you remain in the game. The last person standing, wins the game!

Fund-A-Need

There are over 17,000 new spinal cord injuries each year in the United States. Annually, spinal cord injuries cost roughly $40.5 billion dollars per year, and they are the second leading cause of paralysis behind strokes. Many injured have no insurance or find that insurance does not cover the costs of recovery, or have exhausted their means of funding their recovery.

100% of every dollar donated to tonight’s FUND-A-NEED program will go directly to help offset costs for those who wish to attend NextStep Kansas City, but do not have the financial means to do so.
